The walnut project started out with a lump of clay and a fascination with the shape of the walnut shell. The objects Keepsake and Cloche are the first two outcomes of this ongoing project. Though the forms of the two objects are similar, their uses are different.
Cloche is a porcelain form that, in addition to being a sculptural object, can be used for serving. It can function as a small bowl with a playful wobble, or simply as a cloche for small dishes. As the latter it gives an intriguing anticipation about the dish inside, and its form fits perfectly in the palm when you lift it.
